The nursing department asked if we could manufacture blood tube racks in the most hygienic version possible. For this we chose antibacterial PLA.
We now manufacture our own micro switches. The ones we can buy through regular channels are normally worth around € 70,00.
The production costs of the switches which we manufacture ourselves amount to € 14,60.
Depending on the individual dimensions and different colors, you can easily adjust the product. The white ones are printed in a glow in the dark version, making them visible in the dark.
Here you can see a picture of an environmental control unit. By blowing into the tube, you can make a telephone call, surf the internet, control the lights, the curtains, the TV and operate your bed.
Its casing is 3D printed, therefore offering space for all components. Moreover, you can easily attach it to your bed or your wheelchair.”
